It was a good run, but Thompson unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 7-3 to the Hoover Buccaneers. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Buccaneers earlier this season, when they won 15-5.

Thompson's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Hoover, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Thompson has already played their next game, a 6-0 victory against Gulliver Prep on the 24th. As for Hoover, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-1 loss against Stanhope Elmore on the 26th.
