It was a good run, but the Onalaska Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They received a tough blow as they fell 82-68 to Vidor. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Onalaska still got an impressive performance from Johnny Byrd, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds. The game was Byrd's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dante Leleux, who scored 7 points.
Onalaska's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Vidor, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Onalaska's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bridge City at 9:45 a.m. on December 8th. Bridge City knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Onalaska likes a good challenge. As for Vidor, they will head out on the road to face off against La Marque at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
