After losing to the Strawberry Crest Chargers the last time they met, the Steinbrenner Warriors decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Steinbrenner really took it to Strawberry Crest for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-12 win at home. With that victory, Steinbrenner brought their scoring average up to 51 points per game.
Steinbrenner can attribute much of their success to Naomi Parker, who scored 17 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Parker has scored at least 25% of Steinbrenner's points. Brooke DiCampli was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Despite the loss, Strawberry Crest still got an impressive performance from Elektra Ribot, who scored 6 points.
The victory got Steinbrenner back to even at 2-2. As for Strawberry Crest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Steinbrenner will take on Blake at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blake is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Strawberry Crest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillsborough at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
