Volleyball Recap: Hiland Starts Season with Win Against Northwestern

Hiland had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Northwestern Huskies 3-0 on Wednesday. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Hiland walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14, 25-18.

Addi Mast paced Hiland's offense, picking up nine kills. Mast got some help from Brianna Mishler and her 25 assists. Alayna Yoder controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Northwestern now has a losing record of 1-2.

Hiland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Tuslaw on the 21st. As for Northwestern, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Mapleton on the 25th.
