The Palm Harbor University Hurricanes suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They were beaten by Largo 66-38. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Palm Harbor University in their matchups with Largo: they've now lost four in a row.
Largo got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gavin Ellis out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Ellis hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenyon Boswell, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Palm Harbor University's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Largo, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9.
Palm Harbor University will take on Steinbrenner at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Steinbrenner has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14. As for Largo, they will head out on the road to face off against East Lake at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. East Lake presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Largo in Florida (East Lake is ranked 129th, while Largo is ranked 270th).
