St. George's were out to avenge their 0-34 loss to Groton School from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. St. George's suffered a grim 6-35 defeat to Groton School on Saturday. The result was totally at odds with the teams' state rankings as St. George's enjoys a hefty 146 spot advantage.
The defeat dropped St. George's' record to 0-2. The victory got Groton School out to a 1-0 start for the season.
Next week St. George's take on Thayer Academy at 2:30 PM. Groton School will be staying on the road, facing off against Brooks. Brooks took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Groton School's good fortune.
