The Colton Yellowjackets will head out on the road to challenge the Notre Dame Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Even though Colton has not done well against Arroyo Valley recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Colton was the clear victor by a 59-36 margin over Arroyo Valley. The victory was nothing new for Colton as they're now sitting on three straight.
Notre Dame suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They fell just short of San Gorgonio by a score of 69-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Tuesday (62), Notre Dame still had to take the loss.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Caiden Broughton, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Mark Cadena was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Colton's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Notre Dame, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
Colton opened the new year with a less-than-successful 69-58 loss to Notre Dame. Can Colton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
