The Friday Harbor Wolverines's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Coupeville Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Coupeville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Friday Harbor, who comes in off a win.
Even though Orcas Island scored an imposing 66 points on Tuesday, Friday Harbor still came out on top. Friday Harbor walked away with a 74-66 victory over the Vikings.
Friday Harbor's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Anderson, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Gustafson, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Coupeville lost to the Warriors on the road by a decisive 61-42 margin on Saturday.
Friday Harbor pushed their record up to 8-9 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Coupeville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.
Friday Harbor came up short against the Wolves when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 63-55. Can Friday Harbor avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
