For the second straight game, Campbell will face off against Wolfe City. The Indians will welcome the Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Campbell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Campbell fell victim to Wolfe City and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Wolves. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Indians' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
For Wolfe City's part, Noah Adams made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Adams has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
In other batting news, Chris Herron was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Wolfe City: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-8-1 otherwise. Casen Pessel was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Wolfe City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Campbell only posted an OBP of .235.
The win (which was Wolfe City's fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Campbell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Campbell has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wolfe City struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
