While losing is never fun, Academy of the Americas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 644th, while Osborn is ranked 241st).
Despite the loss, Academy of the Americas saw an underclassman step up: Javier De La Rosa scored eight points.
Davis Aerospace Tech's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3. As for Academy of the Americas, they bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
