Despite the loss, Academy of the Americas saw an underclassman step up: Javier De La Rosa scored eight points.
Davis Aerospace Tech's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3. As for Academy of the Americas, they bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
