The Miami Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Follett Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Miami suffered their biggest loss yet this season two weeks ago. They were outmatched by McLean on the road and fell 75-28. While losing is never fun, Miami can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1069th, while McLean is ranked 361st).
Follett posted their biggest win since November 20, 2023 on Friday. Everything went their way against Lefors as Follett made off with a 60-34 victory. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Follett considering their 24-point performance the match before.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Follett to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kambri Braley, who scored 23 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Braley has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimber Wheatley, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Miami and nudges their season record down to 7-8. As for Follett, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.
Miami skirted past Follett 41-38 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Miami since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
