Franklinton is 1-9 against Lakeshore since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Franklinton Demons' road trip will continue as they head out to face Lakeshore at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Franklinton suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 74-50 loss at the hands of Archbishop Hannan. While losing is never fun, Franklinton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Archbishop Hannan is ranked 18th).
Meanwhile, Lakeshore pushed their score all the way to 62 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-62 to Live Oak.
The losing side was boosted by Caiden Bickham, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Kaden Vial was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and two steals.
Franklinton's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Lakeshore, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.
Franklinton was taken down by Lakeshore 53-12 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Franklinton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
