The Fuqua Falcons lost against the Kenston Forest Kavaliers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Fuqua was dealt a 100-25 loss at the hands of Kenston Forest. Fuqua has struggled against Kenston Forest recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Sam Minix was Fuqua's leading scorer, having posted nine points.
Austin Morgan took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Leading Kenston Forest to victory were Anderson Allen and Dayton Williams Jr. Allen scored 21 points along with seven steals, while Williams Jr scored 25 points along with six steals. Williams Jr hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Graham Sledd, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Kenston Forest used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Fuqua. Three players got more time on the court than they're used to: Chandler Davis (seven), Johah Archambault (seven), and Reid Thomas (12). The trio had averaged 2.07, 3.23, and 5.07 minutes respectively before Tuesday's match. Archambault made the most of the opportunity, scoring six points. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Fuqua's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Kenston Forest, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.
Fuqua and Cumberland will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Cumberland's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Kenston Forest, they will head out on the road to take on New Covenant at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Kenston Forest is coming into the game with five straight wins on the road, so New Covenant is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
