The Angleton Christian Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Van Vleck, falling 64-36. While losing is never fun, Angleton Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1470th, while Van Vleck is ranked 664th).
It was another big night for Corey Austin, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals for Van Vleck. That makes it five consecutive games in which Austin has scored at least 25% of Van Vleck's points. Another player making a difference was Ty'lan Robertson, who scored 14 points along with 6 assists.
