There's no place like home for the Fredonia Lynx, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They claimed a resounding 47-17 win over Beaver Dam at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Fredonia has posted since November 21, 2023.
Charlie Anderson was a one-man wrecking crew for Fredonia as she scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. Cashlynn Lathim was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Beaver Dam's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Crissy Medina, who scored seven points, and Madison Garcia who scored four points.
Fredonia now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Beaver Dam, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fredonia will face off against El Capitan/Centennial Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. El Capitan/Centennial Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Beaver Dam, they will head out on the road to challenge Mountain View Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
