The Corpus Christi United Watchmen's's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They managed a 73-67 win over Austwell-Tivoli. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Corpus Christi United's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peter Paulson, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Paulson also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Judah Jones, who scored ten points along with six assists and four steals.
Corpus Christi United's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Austwell-Tivoli, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Corpus Christi United will face off against Nordheim at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Austwell-Tivoli will be home for the holidays to greet Non Varsity Opponent at 7:20 p.m. on Friday.
