Parkway is 1-7 against St. Henry since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Parkway Panthers' road trip will continue as they head out to face the St. Henry Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on February 16th. Parkway will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 338th, while St. Henry is ranked 106th).
Parkway's game on Friday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of New Bremen. Parkway has struggled against New Bremen recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though St. Henry couldn't quite topple Van Wert on Saturday, it was still a huge improvement compared to the 20-point defeat they took when the two last played. St. Henry claimed a resounding 74-39 victory over Van Wert on the road. St. Henry pushed the score to 51-28 by the end of the third, a deficit Van Wert had little chance of recovering from.
Evan Bowers continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was Luke Beyke, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Parkway has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for St. Henry, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.
Parkway came up short against St. Henry in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 57-52. Can Parkway avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
