Godley won the last time they faced Alvarado and things went their way on Friday too. The Godley Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Alvarado Indians 55-19. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Alvarado's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mckayla Norris, who posted ten points and seven boards. That was a full 52.6% of Alvarado's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Carleigh Ray was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.

Godley is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for Alvarado, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Godley will face off against Venus at 6:15 p.m. on January 24th. As for Alvarado, they will take on Life Waxahachie at 6:15 p.m. on January 24th.
