Kalama has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Castle Rock Rockets at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Thursday, Kalama ended up a good deal behind Wahkiakum and lost 65-48. While losing is never fun, Kalama can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Wahkiakum is ranked 115th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jevan Lucente, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Henry Sigfridson, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Kalama smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. This was only their seventh loss (out of eight games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
