The Amsterdam Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Proctor Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After soaring to a 43-point victory in their last game, Amsterdam came back down to earth on Saturday. They fell just short of South Glens Falls by a score of 38-35.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Proctor, who are still winless after their sixth game. They suffered a tough 55-30 loss at the hands of Rome Free Academy on Friday. While losing is never fun, Proctor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 525th, while the Black Knights are ranked 170th).
Amsterdam's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Proctor, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.
Amsterdam came up short against the Raiders when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 44-36. Can Amsterdam avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
