After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Episcopal, the Springfield Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 50-30 margin over Jehovah-Jireh. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Springfield also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Springfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dequane Davis led the charge by scoring nine points along with seven assists and three steals. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for him. Chase Burches was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Springfield's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Jehovah-Jireh, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Springfield will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Loranger at 7:00 p.m. Loranger is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Jehovah-Jireh, they will head out on the road to face off against St. John at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th.
