The Clarkdale Bulldogs's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Lake out 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Clarkdale has posted since December 9, 2023.
Clarkdale was led to victory by Connor Mcdill and Cade Culpepper. Mcdill scored 18 points along with seven rebounds, while Culpepper scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Culpepper has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ladonya Adams, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
The win got Clarkdale back to even at 12-12. As for Lake, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
Clarkdale will head out on the road to take on Newton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Newton's favor as the squad sits on eight straight wins at home while Clarkdale has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
