The Chadwick Dolphins had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Avalon, posting a 60-32 win on the road. The win was just business as usual for Chadwick, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.
Chadwick's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Thomas Rosso led the charge by throwing for 339 yards and six touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Goodman, who picked up 168 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Chadwick pushed their record up to 10-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 8-2 St. Joseph Academy and 7-2 Flintridge Prep (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 71.9% over those games). As for Avalon, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2.
Chadwick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Avalon also has no future games currently scheduled.
