Defiance has struggled against Patrick Henry recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Patrick Henry's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ada Christman, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carys Crossland, who scored 13 points.
Defiance's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Patrick Henry, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Defiance will take on Bryan at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bryan and Defiance are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Patrick Henry won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Napoleon at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Napoleon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
