Fowlerville is 1-7 against Mason since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Gladiators will head out to challenge the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Fowlerville has given up an average of 6.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Fowlerville couldn't beat Eaton Rapids on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Gladiators fell 12-8 to the Greyhounds.

Cody Cruz was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has become a key player for Fowlerville: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 5-9 otherwise.
In other batting news, Travis Wroblewski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Soli, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Mason came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Aggies with a sharp 10-2 win. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the Aggies on their field since May 20, 2017.
Mason also got a great performance from Alex Engel as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave Engel a new career-high.
At the plate, Maddox Armour was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Joey Schild also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Mason's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Fowlerville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
Fowlerville might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Mason in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Gladiators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
