Hickory Grove Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Hawkins, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Hickory Grove Christian's defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Leading the way was Michael Mccray and his two sacks.
High Point Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Danarius Gibson, who picked up 85 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Gibson was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 69 yards.
Hickory Grove Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-1. As for High Point Christian Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1.
