Basketball Recap: Bridge to Independence Piles Up the Points Against Forest Lake Academy

While Bridge to Independence didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They claimed a resounding 79-46 win over the Forest Lake Academy Panthers. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 24 points or more this season.

Bridge to Independence found their leader in sophomore Jaydan Jeantinord, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock DAlessandro, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 15 assists.

Bridge to Independence smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Forest Lake Academy still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Paradise, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kai Smith, who scored eight points.

Bridge to Independence's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Forest Lake Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Bridge to Independence has already played their next contest, an 88-78 win against Cornerstone Charter Academy on the 8th. As for Forest Lake Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 70-31 defeat against Legacy Charter on the 9th.
