Hughesville not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 20, 2024 (when they won 57-0). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Towanda Black Knights 32-0. The Spartans pushed the score to 25-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Black Knights had little chance of recovering from.

Nicholas Stubbs threw for 88 yards and one touchdown. Connor Anstadt was his top target, picking up 75 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Chase Shrawder rushed for 101 yards.

The victory got Hughesville back to even at 1-1. As for Towanda, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Hughesville and Towanda will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Spartans are set to challenge their familiar foe Loyalsock Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Towanda will face off against rival North Penn-Mansfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
