With a playoff win on the line, South Lamar rose to the challenge on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 64-46 win over the Pickens Academy Pirates. The Stallions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

South Lamar moved to 8-15 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Pickens Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

South Lamar will square off against Holy Spirit Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holy Spirit Catholic will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something South Lamar surely won't give up without a fight. Pickens Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
