After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carver, the DuSable Panthers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 52-39 victory over Little Village. For DuSable, this counts as revenge for the 26-4 loss Little Village walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
DuSable can attribute much of their success to Damaya Plant, who scored 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Plant has scored at least 25% of DuSable's points. Another player making a difference was Lanae Harris, who scored 10 points.
DuSable pushed their record up to 6-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Little Village, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DuSable will take on Corliss at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Corliss: 19.4, DuSable: 20.3) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Little Village, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Harlan at 5:00 p.m. Harlan comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
