St. Stephen's Episcopal (Austin, Texas) committed to the hometown Texas Longhorns on Friday morning.
Allen earned All-Central Texas Player of the Year honors as a senior at St. Stephen's, averaging 21.4 points and 13.3 rebounds per game. He participated in the prestigious McDonald's All-American Game in April.
Head coach Shaka Smart and the Longhorns won out over offers and interest from schools like Houston, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina and Notre Dame.
Allen is the No. 17 overall recruit in the 2016 class according to 247Sports.
