It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Middle Tennessee Christian had no problem doing just that on Friday. They really took it to the Grace Baptist Academy Golden Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-14 victory. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Middle Tennessee Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Brown out in front who rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns. Le'Marlo Nichols was another key player, rushing for 62 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Middle Tennessee Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 393 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 167 rushing yards in seven consecutive games.

Middle Tennessee Christian's record now sits at 6-3. As for Grace Baptist Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.
