Newburyport had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School Hawks a 2-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Newburyport's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School are ranked 247th).

Frederico Peruzzi and Timmy Degraves scored both of Newburyport's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Newburyport's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-1. As for Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10-3 record this season.
