This season hasn't been kind to the High Point Eagles, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 56-55 to Northwestern. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, High Point still got an impressive performance from Kadan Solomonraj, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and five blocks. Solomonraj scored a full 45.5% of High Point's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ibrahim Turay was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine assists.
High Point bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Northwestern, their victory ended a 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.
High Point will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Glenelg at 9:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Northwestern, they will head out on the road to face off against Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
