Pike County scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 77-67 victory over Abbeville. The win was nothing new for Pike County as they're now sitting on three straight.
Kam Christian and Jyderian Burney were among the main playmakers for Pike County as the former scored 20 points and the latter dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds. The contest was Burney's third in a row with at least ten points. Markelis Hobdy was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Carroll was able to grind out a solid win over Geneva on Thursday, taking the game 53-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Carroll.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carroll to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton Plott, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lakeith Person, who scored 14 points.
Pike County's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
