Landon Pompey Turns in Season-Best  Effort
 Sadly,  Landon Pompey posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Trabuco Hills over Mayfair on Friday. Pompey rushed for 223 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, good enough to  set a new career-high in  rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 55 yards.
 This season,  Pompey  has averaged 32.5 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive:  after 11 games last season,  he was only averaging 0.82  rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 93.36  rushing yards.

Xzavior Guess Delivers Electric  Effort Vs Santa Barbara
 El Modena found a leader in  Xzavior Guess as the  team took down Santa Barbara on Thursday. Nobody could stop  Guess as he threw for 234 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 84 yards.
 Guess is probably looking forward to his next game, a  road matchup against Thousand Oaks on Friday. Back in August (the last time  Guess saw the Lancers), he rushed for 91 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns.

Hitchens Came Up Big in El Modena's  28-21  Victory
 Keeping Guess company is  Brodie Hitchens, a fellow El Modena player. He rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown.
 On the season,  Hitchens  has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 29.1 receiving yards per game.

 While  Trey Brown delivered a dominant  effort  on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Tustin. Loyola had no answer to  Brown  as he picked up 24 receiving yards.

Alex Kiernan Makes It Two for Trabuco Hills
 The second Trabuco Hills player making an appearance here is  Alex Kiernan, and for good reason. He picked up 85 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 On the season,  Kiernan  has caught 13 touchdowns while averaging 105.7 receiving yards per game. He's  made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year,  he had three  receiving touchdowns.
