In what's become a running theme this season, the LaBrae Vikings gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 65-32 victory over Bristol at home. LaBrae's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
LaBrae found their leader in underclassman Ella Kuszmaul, who scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals. Kuszmaul is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Riley Rowe was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Despite the defeat, Bristol saw an underclassman step up: Lauren Church scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Church has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Brook, who scored three points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Bristol struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
LaBrae has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Bristol, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
LaBrae will head out on the road to take on Newton Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newton Falls will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 650th, while LaBrae is ranked 255th). As for Bristol, they will be playing at home against Chalker at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Chalker comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
