The Luling Eagles had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 46-38 victory over Great Hearts Northern Oaks on Friday. The victory was just what Luling needed coming off of a 58-23 defeat in their prior contest.
Skylar Dredla was on fire: she dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Janeese Flowers, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Luling's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-18. As for Great Hearts Northern Oaks, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-10.
Luling will take on Cole at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cole will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Great Hearts Northern Oaks, they will head out on the road to take on Randolph at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
