The Cushing Tigers will be playing at home against the Bristow Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cushing will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Bristow is ranked 97th).
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Cushing, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-44 loss to Cleveland. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cushing in their matchups with Cleveland: they've now lost seven in a row.
Bristow posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Sperry 47-45. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bristow.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bristow to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addi Alexander, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Abby Morgan was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
Cushing's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Bristow, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
