Crest is 9-1 against Burns since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Crest Chargers have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Burns Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, the stars were shining brightly for Crest in a 63-47 win over Shelby.
Crest's success was spearheaded by the efforts of D'various Surratt, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds, and AJ Adams, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. The matchup was Surratt's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cal Pass jr., who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Burns can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against Polk County by a score of 77-64. Burns' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Crest pushed their record up to 3-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Burns, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5.
Crest was able to grind out a solid victory over Burns in their previous matchup back in January, winning 59-49. Does Crest have another victory up their sleeve, or will Burns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
