They came out on top against Our Lady of the Sun Academy by a score of 60-52. James Madison Preparatory School's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Our Lady of the Sun Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joseph Reiss. Despite the final result, he scored 38 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reiss has scored all season. Another player making a difference was John Muruako, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
James Madison Preparatory School's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-5. As for Our Lady of the Sun Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Madison Preparatory School will square off against Mission Heights Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mission Heights Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Our Lady of the Sun Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
