Jesuit is 9-1 against Archbishop Shaw since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Blue Jays challenge the Eagles at 2:00 p.m. The two teams were dealt some close losses in their previous games and are determined not to let this one get away.

Jesuit blew De La Salle out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday De La Salle got their revenge. Jesuit fell just short of De La Salle by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Blue Jays have suffered since February 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Shaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Ascension Christian.

Steven Houin was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hayden Percle, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Jesuit and nudges their season record down to 6-2-1. As for Archbishop Shaw, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Everything went Jesuit's way against Archbishop Shaw when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Jesuit made off with a 12-0 victory. Will Jesuit repeat their success, or does Archbishop Shaw have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
