Alhambra took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 10-4 margin over Desert Mountain.
Alhambra got a big performance out of Christopher Martinez, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs Martinez has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ricardo Fonseca, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Willow Canyon came up short against Sunnyslope on Monday, falling 8-1.
Willow Canyon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malachi Lemau, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Alhambra now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Willow Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
