Basketball Recap: Tucker Proctor and Warner Hamm Secure Win for Cheatham County Central

There's no place like home for Cheatham County Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 59-52 victory over the Greenbrier Bobcats on Monday. While the Cubs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Leading Cheatham County Central to victory were Warner Hamm and Tucker Proctor. Hamm went 5 of 7 on his way to 16 points, while Proctor went 6 of 7 on his way to 15 points. Those 16 points gave Hamm a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jevin Adcock, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Cheatham County Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Cheatham County Central pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Greenbrier, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Cheatham County Central and Antioch will meet on Friday for a tough Bear Battle. Antioch knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Cheatham County Central likes a good challenge. As for Greenbrier, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 69-43 loss against Liberty Creek on the 17th.
