Estill County were able to grind out a solid win over Knott County Central last Friday, winning 26-18. Junior Justin Stamper, who rushed for 115 yards and 1 touchdown, was a major factor in Estill County's success. Stamper has now scored at least one touchdown in the past four games.
Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout in their matchup two weeks ago against Somerset, Lexington Christian were happy to find some success last Friday. Lexington Christian won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Danville 14-13. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
