Pine Ridge hasn't had much luck against Seabreeze recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will face off against the Sandcrabs at 6:00 p.m. Pine Ridge has given up an average of 17.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Pine Ridge lost 13-3 to Lyman on Thursday.
Pine Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Lowery, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Seabreeze, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Crescent City on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Sandcrabs, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Alyssa Checho was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Checho was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Chloe Sebastian was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Kelly, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Seabreeze was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.
The victory got Seabreeze back to even at 4-4. As for Pine Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Pine Ridge suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to Seabreeze in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
