It was a good run, but Salem unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Columbia Eagles. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Salem now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Columbia, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-11.

Looking ahead, Salem will challenge Roxana at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Columbia, they will take on Belleville West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
