The Alexandria Cardinals are taking a road trip to  square off against the Detroit Lakes Lakers  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
On Monday, Alexandria didn't have quite enough to beat Rocori and fell  7-6.
 Addy Johnson put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed five innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. Johnson was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 Johnson wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Maari Kvidt, who  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI.  Brooklyn McPhail was another,  going 2-for-3 with one  run.
 Meanwhile, Detroit Lakes made easy work of Fergus Falls  on Tuesday and carried off  a  21-4 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Lakers.
 Alexandria has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record  this season. As for Detroit Lakes, they now  have a winning record of 2-1.
 Everything went Alexandria's way against Detroit Lakes when the teams last played  back in May of 2024, as Alexandria made off with  a  10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
