After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Appomattox County, Chatham was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Gretna Hawks 6-5. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Jasmine Smoot was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April.
Chatham's record now sits at 9-10. As for Gretna, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
