The Eastern Alamance Eagles will face off against the Western Alamance Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Eastern Alamance 3.3, Western Alamance 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Western Alamance will be up against a hot Eastern Alamance team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Eagles came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against Reagan. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since April 29, 2025.
Carley Boggs tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.
On the hitting side, Edie Stewart was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Brylea Warren was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, while Western Alamance put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Eastern Randolph. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Wildcats. Considering the Warriors have won seven games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Skylar Martin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Graysen Saul, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
Western Alamance always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Eastern Alamance's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Western Alamance, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Eastern Alamance hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. However, it's not like Western Alamance struggles in that department as they've averaged .368. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Eastern Alamance was able to grind out a solid win over Western Alamance when the teams last played back in March, winning 7-2. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
